Superstructures Annual Golf Day
PRESS RELEASE – ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF DAY BRINGS TOTAL RAISED BY SUPERSTRUCTURES FOR LOCAL WOMEN’S SUPPORT CHARITY TO £14,500
Ipswich-based structural and civil engineering business Superstructures recently hosted its sixth annual golf event at Fynn Valley Golf Club in aid of the Talitha Koum charity based in Witnesham.
The golf day was a sell-out event with 92 players representing the local construction Industry taking part, and the £2,939.30 raised brings the total donated by Superstructures to Talitha Koum to over £14,500.
From its purpose-built accommodation at the Hope Centre, which is set in two acres of beautiful Suffolk countryside, the charity provides supported housing for women who, as a result of life events, trauma and other challenges, need support and opportunities to make personal changes.
Superstructures Director, Mark Hayward, was delighted with the turnout and said:
“We have been pleased to support Talitha Koum for the last six years, and have hosted an annual golf day each year, only missing 2020 due to the pandemic. It’s a great opportunity to get the local business community together, whilst at the same time, raising much needed funds for such a worthy cause.”
Tina Prince, Service Manager at Talitha Koum is grateful to Superstructures for their continued support. She said:
“We are delighted and extremely grateful to Superstructures and the golfing competitors, who have attended these annual golf days, raising much-needed funds for our charity.
“The journey began for us 15 years ago with a vision, which then became a mission, and is now a much-needed service to support women whose lives have been harmed as a result of life events. When a resident first moves in with us, often they come to us with very little and do not have any form of financial support.
“Our development plans for The Hope Centre are still in progress and, at the moment, all 11 of our rooms remain fully occupied and we are still receiving new referrals every week. Once the building work has been completed, we are looking forward to being able to help an additional five women at a time.
