Award for Structural Excellence 2017
We are extremely proud to have been awarded a commendation from the from The Institution of Structural Engineers East Anglian regional group for our structural design of a private dwelling in Suffolk. Craig Carr, the project Engineer, was commended by the judging panel for his high quality structural solution and working to the tight constraints of the Architectural design. The judges were particularly impressed with Craig’s design to achieve the large two way cantilevering roof overhangs and the use of a steel truss at first floor level to support the first floor structure above frameless corner glazing. The cantilevering staircase was praised for its elegant structural form. Craig was presented the award by Ian Firth, the President of the Institution of Structural Engineers
